Greenview's ESD (Environmentally Sustainable Design) team provides sustainability consulting for residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. Our consultants are accredited across every major sustainability framework in Australia, and we use industry-leading software for all energy and computer simulation modelling.
Sustainability has been central to Greenview since the firm was founded in 2007. Our ESD team brings experience from both Australia and the UK, and our work spans concept design through to DA reports, construction certificates and post-occupancy assessments.

Our ESD accreditations
BASIX is mandatory for most residential development in NSW. Our accredited BASIX assessors prepare certificates for new dwellings, multi-residential developments and significant alterations and additions, and advise on passive design strategies and material choices that reduce energy consumption over the life of the building.
For new residential dwellings, our accredited NatHERS assessors use approved simulation software to model thermal performance and produce the star ratings required for development and construction approvals. We work with your design team from early concept stage so you achieve the required rating efficiently, without retrofitting compliance at DA stage.
For commercial buildings, we prepare both DTS Section J reports and JV3 modelling assessments. JV3 is an alternative performance pathway that allows more design flexibility while demonstrating equivalent energy performance to the National Construction Code.
NABERS, Green Star and energy modelling
Our accredited NABERS assessors assist with NABERS Energy, NABERS Water and NABERS commitment agreements for commercial and multi-residential projects. We are also Green Star Accredited Professionals with experience across Green Star Buildings and Green Star Communities, providing consulting from early design through to submission.
Beyond compliance, our team provides practical sustainable design advice that reduces energy demand from the ground up. This includes building energy modelling, passive heating and cooling design, climate analysis, renewable technology feasibility, thermal comfort assessments, solar access and shading studies, and natural ventilation assessments.
