Overview
Greenview delivered building services engineering for a new Ferrari showroom at 403 Pacific Highway, Artarmon, working alongside Artarmon Ferrari and builder Reitsma Constructions. The showroom is a flagship commercial retail facility for one of the world's most recognised luxury automotive brands, and features an architectural centrepiece that represents a world first: a suspended glass showcase housing a Ferrari 488 GTB.
The building services engineering for a project of this profile demands a level of precision and finish that matches the product on display — systems that are entirely functional but entirely invisible, allowing the architecture and the vehicles to take centre stage.
The challenge
Luxury automotive showrooms have demanding building services requirements. Lighting design must showcase vehicles at their best, with consistent colour rendering and controlled reflections on bodywork and glass surfaces. Mechanical systems need to maintain precise temperature and humidity conditions for both the showroom environment and the displayed vehicles. The suspended glass showcase element introduced structural and building services coordination requirements beyond a standard commercial showroom fitout. Section J energy compliance also needed to be addressed for a building with extensive glazing.
Greenview's approach
Greenview's electrical and mechanical design was developed in close coordination with Reitsma Constructions and the project's architectural team, ensuring the building services reflected the premium standard required by the Ferrari brand. All disciplines were developed within Greenview's coordinated REVIT environment, enabling precise coordination around the suspended glass showcase and other architectural features.
